California Gov. Gavin Newsom was on NBC's “Meet the Press” Sunday morning to discuss Biden's ability to run for a second term.
Governor Newsom criticized President Trump. He claimed that Democrats were not diminishing his momentum.
In light of concerns about Biden's ability to continue serving as president, host Kristen Welker asked Governor Newsom: “Do you think Democrats are responsible for putting him at the top of the list given these concerns?”
He responded that Biden's three years in office were a “masterclass.”

NBC News anchor Kristen Welker pressed California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday on whether the Democratic Party had a responsibility to run for President Biden despite voters' concerns about his age.
After Newsom criticized former President Trump and added that Democrats were not underestimating the strength of the GOP front-runner, Welker mentioned how “76% of voters say they have real concerns about President Biden's ability to serve a second term.”
“Do you think Democrats are responsible for putting him at the top of the list given these concerns?” she asked.
After Welker asked Governor Newsom if he thought it was responsible to continue nominating Biden for another term, he defended Biden.
“Administrator, I respect his record. What he's done in three years, it's been amazing, nearly 15 million jobs. That's eight times more than the last three Republican presidents combined. The economy is booming and inflation is calming,” Newsom said.
“American manufacturing is coming home, all because of Biden’s wisdom, moderation, and ability to lead in a bipartisan manner,” Newsom continued.

Governor Newsom has chosen to ignore Biden's real record which includes inflation, open borders, out-of-control crime in Democratic-run cities and the potential for terrorist attacks on American soil.
