MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a mild Saturday, we'll be turning up the temperatures as we head into Sunday and the work week.
Highs Sunday afternoon will likely be just above 70 degrees with a mix of sun and some clouds.
Highs will continue to climb into the mid 70s on Monday and will likely approach 80 degrees by Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday afternoon, we will have plenty of cloud cover and a chance for strong to severe storms will likely track across the region from late Tuesday evening into Wednesday.
The timing, impacts and extent of the serious threat remain unclear.
The latest data indicates that severe weather appears possible.
Some data even suggests the slower progress of this system could lead to a longer severe weather threat from Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday afternoon.

These are the expectations
Tonight: Clear and quiet. Temperatures get very cold as we head into the morning. Lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Lowest 42 degrees. Winds from the east 5 – 10 mph.
Sunday: Lots of sunshine with some high clouds. It turns warm and breezy all day long. Highs will reach the lower 70s with winds starting to blow by the afternoon. High 73 degrees. Southwesterly winds 10-15 knots, with gusts of 30 knots per hour.
Monday: A mix of sun and clouds with temperatures remaining warm across the region. The wind will be lighter! – 75 degrees high. South winds 10-15 mph.
Tuesday: Cloudy and very warm. Highs may approach 80 degrees across the region. Winds will be active in the afternoon and evening. Wind speeds can reach nearly 40 mph at times. The chance of storms increases in the evening and night hours. Severe weather is possible. High 79 degrees. Winds are southwesterly 20 – 30 knots with gusts of 40 knots.
Wednesday: Severe weather is possible. Thunderstorms will be present in the morning and midday depending on the timing of our severe weather conditions. All severe weather conditions are possible. Storms will move quickly. The clouds will clear later in the day, and it will still be very windy as well. Temperatures will be near the mid-60s in the morning with temperatures dropping into the 40s by the evening. High 66 degrees. Winds are northwesterly 15-20 knots, with gusts of 30 knots per hour.
