Tens of thousands of people gathered on Sao Paulo's famous Paulista Avenue to show support for former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, as an investigation continues into allegations that he planned a coup with his allies to stay in power after his failed 2022 re-election bid.
Bolsonao, wearing the green and yellow colors of the national flag, addressed the crowds and placed his hand on his chest as he sang the national anthem.
The police accuse him of leading a failed plot to stay in power after losing the elections to his leftist rival, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Bolsonaro says the operation is politically motivated.
