Colin Allred is the Democrat who is challenging Ted Cruz for US Senate in 2024. Allred advocates gun control but has spent a lot of money on personal security for himself.
This is very typical. We've seen the exact same thing from members of the far-left squad.
In their eyes, their rights and safety are more important than yours.
Townhall Reports:
One Democrat, a gun control advocate, shelled out thousands for a private armed security team
The rules are for you, not for me. Or let Americans suffer and fear for their lives in a crime-infested country due to soft-crime policies under democratic rule while the leftist elite live in their palaces with private security.
Democratic Rep. and gun control advocate Colin Allred (D-TX) has hired a private armed security team despite his strong anti-Second Amendment stance.
Allred, who is challenging Rep. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), distributed thousands of dollars to individuals who appear to be police officers. However, the Democrat has previously spoken against provisions that support law enforcement and has voted for several forms of gun control…
In 2018, Allred said it would have been better if the Second Amendment had not been written. He also voted for Sen. John Cornyn's (R-Texas) Safer Communities Act. The bill, which Cruz voted against, calls for red flag laws, more stringent background checks for gun buyers under 21, additional penalties for some gun felons, and funding for a variety of health and mental health programs.
According to Federal Election Commission filings, Allred's Senate campaign gave $2,500 to Eagle Protection Group — a private armed security firm. Since its launch in 2018, the Democratic Party has given the company at least $14,496.89.
Additionally, Allred has received numerous contributions from groups that support defunding the police.
Democrats want you to be disarmed and unprotected, but that's not the same when it comes to them.
