Insurance and reinsurance market Lloyd's of London has confirmed the appointment of Peter Spiers' permanent successor as General Counsel.
Following her interim role following Spiers' departure in August 2023, Clare Schrader (pictured) has been appointed as permanent general counsel at Lloyd's, responsible for managing legal risk at Lloyd's. She will remain a member of the Lloyd's Executive Committee.
Schrader is a qualified lawyer with over 20 years' experience in the law and insurance industry. She has worked with Lloyds since 2000, during which time she has developed a reputation within the company and across the market as a trusted legal adviser. Lloyd's said it has extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and the regulatory frameworks that support the Lloyd's market.
