DENVER (KDVR) — Temperatures rose across the Front Range and weather in Denver showed readings Tuesday afternoon about 20 degrees above the average of 46 degrees for this time of year.

According to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado's most accurate forecast, a cold front will cool the area, but high forecasts will still be above normal. The cold front arrives on Wednesday, with showers expected late in the day.

Rain may mix with some snow showers overnight until Thursday. Expected accumulation appears to be low, especially south of the city, with no impact on warm roads.

Light weed accumulation is likely mainly south of Denver

    Weather tonight: mountain snow showers

Light snow showers are expected to fall on the mountains tonight, especially in the northern regions. We will have some clouds drifting over the eastern plains of Colorado. It will be cold in the mountains overnight and lows are expected to reach the teens and 20s.

Northern Colorado will have cold readings with some locations at or above freezing, including metro Denver.

Overnight lows set for Wednesday morning across Colorado

Tomorrow's weather: rain showers, then snow showers

Wednesday will start with sunny skies followed by increasing clouds. It will still be mild this time of year, with temperatures along the Front Range expected to reach the mid to upper 50s – still 10 degrees above average in late February.

Some rain will develop during the afternoon and evening. These showers could mix with or change to snow showers with limited (if any) accumulation along the Front Range and in metro Denver.

Highs expected on Wednesday from Pinpoint Weather

Looking ahead: Sunny, dry and warm again

The forecast for next weekend looks sunny and dry. Temperatures remain much higher than normal at the end of this month. Colorado will have several more days with readings reaching the very warm 60s.
