today: We saw some warmer conditions but things were still cold across the area. Our high temperature here in Lubbock was 55 degrees which puts us below the current average of 55 degrees.
Tonigt: Lubbock will see a low of 35 degrees with temperatures dropping into the lower and upper 30s across the South Plains.
tomorrow: Our high temperature will reach 71 degrees with mostly sunny skies next President's Day. Winds will be out of direction at 5-10 knots per hour.
Expanded forecast:
Monday night temperatures will cool to 40 degrees with everywhere finally reaching above the freezing point. Tuesday will see a high of 78 degrees as warmer conditions continue across the region! Winds will be west-southwesterly at a speed of 10-15 knots with a partly cloudy sky.
Dry conditions will continue throughout the week, with Wednesday set to be the warmest day yet. Tuesday night the low will reach 41 degrees and Wednesday will see a high of 82 degrees with a west-southwest wind at 10-15 mph. Fire conditions are likely to be high with high wind speeds and warm conditions.
Wednesday night the temperature will cool to 47 as wind speeds begin to pick up on Thursday. Thursday's high will reach 66 degrees with north-northwest winds consistently between 18 and 22. Although there will be minimal cloud coverage, we will cool off a bit on Friday.
Thursday night will reach 38 degrees while Friday will see a high of 65 degrees for slightly cooler conditions and an east-southeast wind bringing us a bit of cold air.
Friday night will reach 39 degrees with temperatures starting to warm up a bit more on Saturday. The high temperature for Saturday will be 69 degrees with an east-southeast wind at 10-15 mph.
Saturday night will reach 42 degrees while Sunday will reach 76 degrees!
