SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – We will have very cold and sleet weather early this morning and that will be the last mention of winter this week as a warmer spring pattern is set to take over.
Lawns and windshields will be covered in frost today as sunrise temperatures will be in the 20s and low 30s. Freezing temperatures will be replaced by nice weather with building high pressure keeping our sunny and dry pattern going and temperatures rising to near average in the mid to upper 60s. We will have another cold night on the way, as low temperatures will drop into the 30s and 40s overnight, with most areas staying just above freezing.
The warming trend will pick up tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Wednesday and Thursday will be breezy with highs reaching 80 degrees in many areas on both days.
A dry cold front will bring us back into the 70s on Friday, with great weather next weekend. Highs next Saturday and Sunday will be in the 70s, a fun weekend for any outdoor plans.
