For years, California Democrats have been a state hostile to gun owners and Second Amendment rights.
A bill in the Democratic-controlled California State Assembly, introduced on February 16, would force homeowners and renters to disclose information about the firearms they own. Assemblyman Mike Gibson and State Senator Katherine Blackspur are the two leading California Democratic legislators pushing this legislation.
Section 2086 would be an addition to the insurance law related to AB-3067.
Questions include information about the number of firearms in the home, how they are stored, and the number of firearms stored in vehicles on the property. Questions include whether or not the firearms are in locked containers.

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, noted that California is attacking gun owners while leaving rampant crime and child exploitation unchecked.
“California could care less about retail theft, child mutilation, child murder, or illegal immigrants barging into America, but it feels it has the right to harass law-abiding gun owners. Will California use this database to punish gun owners?” Kirk said in X.

California Democrats are waging war on the Second Amendment. This is what one-party rule looks like when Democrats are in power.
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) recently signed a law prohibiting people from carrying firearms in almost all public places.
Fortunately, the courts intervened and blocked the newly signed law.
In December, a federal judge temporarily blocked a newly signed California law prohibiting people from carrying firearms in almost all public places.
“The law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in September was scheduled to take effect on January 1. It would have banned people from carrying concealed weapons in 26 places including public parks, playgrounds, churches, banks and zoos. The ban applies whether the person has a permit to carry a concealed weapon or not. The only exception will be for privately owned businesses that post signs saying people are allowed to bring guns into their workplace. The Associated Press reported earlier.
US District Judge Cormac Carney of the Central District of California, a Bush appointee, agreed with the ban and issued a scathing statement.
Judge Carney called the law, signed into law by California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, “sweeping, repugnant to the Second Amendment and openly defying the Supreme Court.”
The law, which was scheduled to take effect on January 1, bans the use of weapons in 26 public places, including banks, zoos, churches and public parks. The law prohibited people with concealed carry permits from carrying firearms in prohibited places.
Meanwhile, California has seen a sharp rise in crime rates since the state came under the control of leftist politicians and corrupt prosecutors who stand by and do nothing. Smash and grab has become commonplace in the past few years with little to no consequence.
