The morning weather forecast for Sunday, February 18, is bright and mild
A patient comes back to you. From leading Omaha weather forecaster Caitlin Harvey, with the accurate weather forecast now. The time now is approximately 547 on Sunday morning. Not as cold as we were yesterday. It's still a bit cold, though. I will warn you. Clear skies right across the board. See across the metro with our exclusive SKYCAM network showing very calm conditions. This is a trend where we will actually see, if nothing else, good conditions for at least next week. However, now wake up on Sunday, 26 Omaha 25 for the people in Millard. Springfield 27 Fremont Wahoo. Council con Bellevue. Glenwood Plattsmouth looks to be the number this morning and even a little cooler in western Iowa 21 now, Atlantic Red Oak, Creston, and Shenandoah look like temperatures for a while still in the teens. York County though is a cold spot on the board now ninth. We have cold winds so do it again. Grab that jacket. The coat may be here this morning, but we'll be warming up as we head out for the day. Of course, lots of sunshine. We just talked about those quiet conditions here in the metro. Will this extend not just to eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, but to the entire region? We will continue to do so while seeing some barriers here in the middle of the country. We'll discuss that here in just a couple of minutes. A mild brunch today reaching 42 degrees by noon. Bright at 245. Our high is 48 today in Omaha 52 Lincoln plus Falls City 42, a little cooler to the north, Norfolk plus eastern Atlantic 4240 this afternoon and Carroll. But break above average and we are not looking to break this trend over the next week at least. The storm forecast is very calm in the afternoon. Not a cloud in sight. There are double clouds though. Move through this evening. By tomorrow morning, a mix of some of that sun and clouds. Although, I will still say sun glare for those early morning commuters. Many people have their heads off. The sunshine continues into the afternoon, but here are these trillions of dollars we're talking about warmer than average temperatures, a 6-10 day forecast for the middle of the country, plus drier conditions. What does that mean for us? Another taste of spring is here. 53 Your high tomorrow. But jump to the 1960s. Tuesday and Wednesday. A very slight drop in temperatures although they are still well above the average 50s Celsius. Thursday
