The theme of timelessness dominated the Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show, which was held at the former Barneys New York store in Chelsea, New York. Kors blended the sharp, sculptural tailoring and lightweight clothing of the 1930s with the streamlined luxury of the 1990s and the relaxed, casual style of the time.
Pairing lace and cut-out shapes with dramatic outerwear, the collection explored the concept of covered and exposed. The luxurious palette included warm colors like cappuccino and chocolate, along with cool colors like midnight and ivory, as well as dusty makeup shades like peel and blush.
In keeping with the season's proportionate theme, the collection included dress shoes, heels, loafers and oxfords. The new Manhatta Chain Handle Bag offers luxurious simplicity for everyday wear.
The runway show featured a New York-themed soundtrack with tracks from Alicia Keys and Bobby Short. Meanwhile, models like Amber Valletta, Malgosia, Alek Wek, and others descended the famous spiral staircase and walked down the mirror-lined runway.
