Multiple Minnesota police officers were shot while responding to a domestic incident in Burnsville near the 12600 block of 33rd Street South.
Two police officers and a paramedic were killed.
According to reports, there were a number of children inside the house at the time of the shooting.
SWAT officers were at the scene. The SWAT vehicle had bullet holes in the windshield.
“Multiple Burnsville police officers were shot — at least two officers and one responder were killed — while responding to a domestic call.” – Fox 9 reported.
Gov. Tim Walz issued a statement regarding the fatal shooting.
“Shocking news from Burnsville. “While responding to the call of an at-risk family, two police officers and a firefighter lost their lives, and other officers were injured,” Governor Walz said. “We must never take for granted the courage and sacrifices our police officers and first responders make every day. “My heart goes out to their families today and the entire state of Minnesota stands with Burnsville.”
