NSD will host the Jan Bharat Rang initiative on February 21, 2024

The National School of Drama (NSD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India is scheduled to host the mega Jan Bharat Rang initiative on February 21, 2024.
This ambitious project aims to bring together 2,000 performing arts groups across the country, simultaneously performing a shared text.
A press conference was held today, in which NSD Director Sh. Chittaranjan Tripathi and NSD Registrar Sh. Share Pradeep K. Mohanty shares his thoughts on this historical event. Organized as part of Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2024, the event is designed to create a landmark in the global theater scene.
All participating groups will work on the same script, each contributing their unique regional representation to showcase India's cultural diversity
The performances revolve around Vixit Bharot (Advanced India), Panchpran (Five Undertakings) and Vasudhaiva Kutumbukkam (The World is One Family), reflecting India's vision of inclusive progress and global harmony. Jan Bharat Rang aspires to celebrate the largest collective live show ever. By theatrical organization around the world The scheduled date for this extraordinary event is 21 February 2024, coinciding with the closing ceremony of Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2024. Depending on the confirmation of the participating groups, the organizers will provide a reference script for the performances, each lasting between 15 and 20 minutes. The success of Jan Bharat Rang will not only position India as a world leader in performing arts, but will also celebrate the unity and artistic excellence of its diverse theatrical community.
