Mark Wahlberg is currently promoting his new movie King Arthur, which is scheduled to hit theaters on March 15. After starring in and producing the film, Wahlberg talks about how the role of Mikael Lindnord was the “most physically demanding” he had ever played, as he was forced to overcome a major injury on the first day of filming.
Wahlberg was injured in the “most physically demanding” role.
“I tore my meniscus on the first day, producing the movie, so I couldn't stop production. I had to fight through it,” Wahlberg, 52, told Fox News. “These guys, you know, are stunt racers, And endurance athletes, [are] Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable.
Wahlberg is especially excited to see this movie because it's based on a true story.
“I always gravitate toward true stories,” he explained. “A wonderful, wonderful story, I can't wait for people to see it. There won't be a dry eye in the house, that's for sure.”
The film is about an “adventurous racer” who “adopts a stray dog named Arthur to join him on an epic endurance race,” and stars Wahlberg alongside Simo Liu, Michael Landes, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Paul Guilfoyle.

Wahlberg's PSA with Canine Co-Star
Last week, Wahlberg starred in a PSA promoting pet adoption through him King Arthur Canine co-star Arthur. It was a public service announcement for Best Friends Animal Society, and it began with Wahlberg sitting down with Arthur saying, “There are dogs and cats in shelters all over the country hoping to find their people.”
Wahlberg went on to say that animals “have an amazing ability to be great friends,” just like Arthur.
The father of four children continued: “All they need is someone like you to guide them back home.” “Best Friends Animal Society works to make sure every dog and cat in America has the opportunity to find a loving home of their own.”
“When you adopt your next pet from a shelter or rescue group, you help save the lives of pets like Arthur and so many others,” he concluded.

Wahlberg's lifestyle fit
Even though he was injured on the filming site King ArthurWahlberg has managed to maintain the grueling fitness regimen that has kept his physique fit for decades.
“You know, clean living is key,” Wahlberg said recently. “Eat right, exercise, everything in moderation. If you're going to have a couple of glasses of Flecha – neat and clean, have some water, recover – everything in moderation. You always want to celebrate your achievements and hard work, but move on to the next one.
“Don't spend too much time thinking about something you've already done,” he added. “We have new goals every day, and more things to achieve. We want to encourage people to be the healthiest and best version of themselves.
Wahlberg is a true inspiration, and there's no one else like him in Hollywood right now. We can't wait to see his new movie when it comes out next month, as it looks like it's going to be a huge hit that the whole family can enjoy!
