    Meteorologist Ava Marie says Friday is a weather alert day for the snow that is expected to hit Maryland in the early evening. *UPDATE* (1:15 p.m.) The National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Howard and Harford counties and Baltimore City. Anne Arundel County remains under a winter storm warning. Baltimore County Schools has canceled all activities scheduled for Saturday, February 17.|| Closures/Delays | Weather Alerts | radar | Forecast | Email Alerts | Send us your photos || Snow will start falling around 10pm with the heaviest arriving around midnight until 6am when we will see the majority of the accumulation. Most of the Baltimore metro area will see 2-4 inches of snow with areas to the northwest getting 4-5 inches. Snow in the mountains can reach more than 6 inches. The storm will have winds of up to 25 mph. Road conditions can be hazardous in the morning, especially before crews have a chance to plow the roads. Snowfall will taper off Saturday morning around 7-9 a.m., so avoid driving until the storm is over if possible. Temperatures are expected to be above freezing for the rest of Saturday in the upper 30s.
