To start creating those roads. It might be a little difficult. That and the sun is setting now. So any of the ambient warmth that the sun was helping today is now gone. In addition to the heavy and heavy snowfall rates we are seeing across the region. Notice those really dark blue colors. These reflect where heavy snow has fallen. And as we say all the time, a lot of people wonder, well, will there be enough snow to accumulate on the roads? It will happen when it comes down hard enough. No matter how warm it is. This is what we are starting to see happening now. We had had a bit of thunder and lightning earlier, so we officially had some thundersnow nearby. V-VI zone across parts of Carroll County a little while ago, which sent some pockets of heavy snow heading our way toward Loop 275. We've been checking cameras all around Loop 275, as I saw there with Daisy. Some of the main roads are now starting to get a little snow cover on them here. As we head into the evening, very moderate snow is falling due to a lot of BUTLER. and Warren Counties. Two from Springboro toward Middletown. It's falling at a good clip there. Same story through parts of Franklin, Fayette Union Counties, and southeastern Indiana. I've been getting some pictures and videos from viewers there at Sunman showing off the snow-covered roads and meadows. Not quite as heavy, at least temporarily, but there's still a lot of snow here. Tonight. Also take you to the southeast of the city, where there was a mix of rain and snow. But even here too, it will start snowing soon. If you are heading west of Union. In Maysville. Look at how dark those blues are towards Wilmington. Northern parts of Brown County, towards Batavia. These are some heavy snowfall rates that are starting to cover even the main roads. Well, here's the storm. The Big Picture. Notice these very dark bands of blue that extend all the way to the Illinois-Indiana state line. All this should mainly go through the Tri-State. Again, we're halfway through the second quarter here, and we haven't even seen halftime with this storm yet. Zoom in a little closer. Here's the heavy snow falling from there for many of us now. Check temperatures. Temperatures generally fell below freezing in many areas. This will also help speed up the accumulation process. Once we get below freezing. And you know, the road conditions, as we've shown you do a very good job here. We are starting to see snow covered roads as we head towards the 630 at 7:00 time frame. Note that as we move forward toward eight, it's certainly possible with the heavier snowpack moving in, that a large portion of the area could have snow-covered roads as we head toward eight and 9:00 tonight with the heavier snow moving in. Temperatures are in the twenties. FUTURECAST shows you clusters of heavy snow. Look at these dark blue colors set after 7:00. So yeah, seven, eight, nine. It snows hard all over the area, and then by 10 or 11 a.m., it snows from here and it gets really cold all night. So most of us still pick up two and three inches of snow. It will appear. Now north of the river and toward I-70. There will be sums that are greater than four or quite close to four. That's why we're looking at snow-covered roads and this is probably the biggest snowfall of the season so far. The other big story, dangerously low winds, will settle in behind the snow tonight. Wind chills tomorrow morning will drop to the low teens and single digits. Then again on Saturday night. Sunday morning wind chills will reach the single digits. So, that's a nice little touch of winter. our. road. Here's a live look from downtown Cincinnati. You can barely make a PAYCOR court over there in the corner. We're officially at 30 degrees. We have a north wind at eight o'clock. Eventually, we'll get to 21 tonight as it stays pretty cold, and those winds will pick up two. And these heavy snowfall rates are really reducing visibility tomorrow. So 29 just up. But you will feel as if you are a teenager. There's a look at your daily planner. At least we'll get sun tomorrow. Any snow on the roads is likely to melt. Here's a look at your forecast for the seven days through 18 Saturday night. The good news, Mike and Sheri, even though this is a bad little hit, it will go away early next week because the temperatures will rise.
