Video showed the moment an Ohio police officer shot a woman through the windshield last week after she hit him in a north Columbus parking lot in a wild police chase caught on camera.
As the Daily Mail reported on Monday, the incident occurred at around 3:23pm on Wednesday, February 7 when officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of East Dublin Granville Road for a report of a 2015 Toyota Camry stolen in the area. The driver was identified as 32-year-old Holly Graham of Columbus.
The personal cameras of several Columbus Police sergeants were able to capture the chaos from multiple angles.
Video footage shows the stolen Camry driving away in the opposite direction from the surrounding police. An officer placed spike strips across the parking lot exit at the same time in an attempt to stop the woman's escape.
A sergeant approached the car as it was reversing, but Graham suddenly pressed the accelerator and hit it with full force. This sends the officer to the top of the hood.
He responds by opening fire through the windshield several times while holding on tightly to the vehicle as it drives away. The officer eventually fell to the ground, panting next to the wreckage.
After that, his colleagues chased the car and were able to catch up with it. They yell at Graham to get out of the car as they point their weapons.

The injured Graham was eventually arrested after she reached the entrance ramp of Interstate 71 North and collided with two other vehicles.
The Columbus Police Department issued the following statement regarding the incident:
While in the parking lot, the vehicle began to reverse before suddenly moving forward and striking Columbus Police Sgt.
The car continued across the parking lot with the sergeant on the hood of the car. The sergeant fired his firearm several times, wounding the driver.
Postal officers attempted to render aid to Graham before she was transported to Riverside Hospital in serious condition. The occupants of both vehicles that struck Graham were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the injured sergeant was transported to Grant Hospital and is in stable condition.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is currently investigating the officer-involved shooting.
