A beloved grandfather was shot and killed after a fender bender in Southern California earlier this month.
59-year-old Jonathan Mock accidentally hit a woman who was backing her car out of park in a Walmart parking lot on February 5.
Mock got out of his car to apologize to the woman after the minor collision resulted in minor scratches on the fender.
The suspect, identified as Shawntice Norton, 36, got out of her car, shot Jonathan Mock in the face and then left.
Officers pronounced Mock dead at the scene.
Mok's family described him as a “generous man” who would help anyone in need. Community members described Mok as “everyone's grandfather.”
Norton was arrested and charged with murder.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by the victim's son, Matthew Mock, to raise money for funeral expenses.

Loved ones are in shock after their grandfather was shot to death after bending a barrier in San Bernardino County.
The incident occurred on February 5, when the victim, Jonathan Mock, 59, was driving to a Walmart in Highland on an errand.
At around 8pm, Jonathan arrived at the parking lot and was looking for an open spot. As he drove down the driveway, the female suspect was backing out of the parking spot.
When officers arrived at the scene, John was found with a gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced dead.
Loved ones struggle to process the news of John's death as they remember a man who loved his family. John worked at Carey's Fine Automobiles in San Bernardino where his co-workers were stunned when they heard of his death.
“I cried when I learned he had been killed,” said Lee Hall, the victim's friend and co-worker. “That's what he loved — cars. He probably would have fixed the lady's car for nothing, but she ended up shooting him.”
Matthew Mock, Jonathan's son, struggles to understand how his father could have been killed by a simple accident.
