SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – There was a celebration of the future of jazz in Savannah tonight at the Jewish Educational Alliance.
The Savannah Black Heritage Festival held its annual Future of Jazz Concert earlier this evening at the Jewish Educational Alliance of Savannah.
The event featured local and regional young jazz singers and players under the direction of local legend Teddy Adams.
“It's Black History Month, and as you know, African American history or Black history is also American history, and it's important that we all immerse ourselves in the culture as much as we can,” said Amanda Hollowell, co-coordinator of the Savannah Black Heritage Festival. “.
The Savannah Black Heritage Festival runs through February 25.
