Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has developed a plan to “mass release” illegal immigrants into the United States, as well as move to reduce the capacity to detain detainees after crossing the southern border, the Washington Post reported.
This report comes just one day after Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was formally impeached by the US House of Representatives, the first Cabinet minister to be impeached in nearly 150 years.
According to the newspaper, this step is necessary to close the budget deficit of $700 million. Plans have already been formulated to begin a “mass release” of illegal aliens, according to multiple sources at Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security.
An “internal proposal to save money” began circulating within departments, proposing “the release of thousands of detainees and reducing detention levels from 38,000 beds to 22,000 beds.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement threatened this release if Republicans did not surrender the Senate foreign aid bill
The Washington Post report notes that ICE's move to “mass release” undocumented immigrants into American communities is a direct response to the Senate's failure to pass a $118 billion foreign aid bill.
The foreign aid bill included significant funding for foreign wars and a small percentage for so-called border security. It would have provided $6 billion in additional funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations, thus covering the $700 million shortfall, according to those familiar with it.
The White House had threatened to take such action if Republicans did not approve the foreign aid bill.
“Because Republicans in Congress are choosing partisan politics over our national security and refusing to pass a bipartisan national security agreement that includes significant border reforms and funding, over the coming weeks, ICE will be forced to scale back its operations due to budget shortfalls,” the White House press reported. Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said before this legislation collapsed.
It now appears they are following through on this threat, putting the lives and jobs of the American people at risk after initially trying to blackmail them for more money.

Mayorkas impeached, Democrat admits they 'care more' about illegal immigrants
DHS Secretary Mayorkas was removed Tuesday for his “deliberate and systematic refusal to comply with the law” and “violation of the public trust” — a direct violation of his oath to support and defend the Constitution.
Mayorkas and President Joe Biden implemented a “catch and release” plan that paved the way for the release of millions of illegal immigrants directly into American communities.
Now, they plan to ramp up their “mass release” efforts. Is it a response to the Senate aides bill? Or is it to spite Mayorkas' isolation? Maybe it's a little bit of both.
During an MSNBC interview last week, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) pulled back the curtain on his party by declaring that “undocumented Americans” are the people Democrats “care about most.”

It's hard to disagree about who they care about more.
The American people threatening to “mass release” illegal immigrants after not receiving foreign aid while at the same time releasing them en masse for 3 years is just more evidence.
