Star filly Miracle of Love tragically passed away after a disastrous accident during a barrier trial at Scone on Wednesday.
Miracle of Love, trained by Paul Messara and Lea Gavranic, was competing in the 1000m but collapsed on the track and failed to finish.
It is believed she may have had a heart attack.
Owner and breeder John Massara was shocked when he spoke to Racenet just minutes after the trial.
“Paul called me, it was the call I was waiting for, I thought he was going to tell me how good the filly was going,” Misra told Racenet.
“But when he told me what happened, I said, ‘You’re pulling my leg.’ I couldn’t believe it.
“I feel so sorry for Paul, he put a lot of effort into this filly. She was an outstanding filly and we thought she had Group One potential.
“We couldn't wait to get her back to the races and then this happened. This game is a great level.

The talented three-year-old filly missed the spring due to a virus, but Massara said the filly had developed into a strong, powerful filly and was in fantastic condition.
“Miracle of Love was the best daughter of the best filly, Miss Finland, that we raced,” said Masara.
“We have decided to retire Miss Finland from breeding animals after the miracle of love came out.
“It is painful to receive this news because Mahra is such a miracle of love, she cannot be replaced.”
Masara confirmed that an autopsy will be performed on the body of the miracle of love to confirm the exact cause of death.
