Fox News Media's Fox Weather is gaining additional distribution as it will be available on Hulu + Live TV and TCtv +.
The announcement of Fox Weather's expansion came from the network's president, Shari Bergwho said, “As the fastest-growing weather service, we are excited to expand our platform even further, bringing audiences Hulu + Live TV and TCLtv + premium live weather news programming from Fox Weather.”
With the addition of Hulu + Live TV, Fox Weather gains an additional 4.6 subscribers, as it will be added to the pay-TV distributor's core lineup, which includes more than 95 channels across news, sports and entertainment programming. Viewers can find Fox Weather via the Hulu + Live TV channel guide.
Meanwhile, TCL Connected TV owners in the US can access Fox Weather via the News & Views category in the TCLtv+ app.
The free, ad-supported streaming weather service launched more than two years ago, and TVNewser, ahead of its second anniversary, got behind-the-scenes access at News Corp's New York headquarters.
We talked to Will SurrattVice President of Programming and Content at Fox, spoke to us about the evolution of Fox Weather since he joined, including the service gaining additional distribution, which is critical to its continued existence.
For the first 30 days of launch, Fox Weather can be streamed on the Fox Weather website and app, Fox Nation, Fox Now, Fox Television Stations (FTS) and Fox News Digital.
Nearly two years after Surratt joined the network, Fox Weather can now be accessed via Roku Portal, SamsungTV+, LG, Vizio, Plex, Amazon FreeVee, YouTube TV, YouTube.com, Tubi, Cox, Spectrum, Xumo, DirecTV and Vizbee. and Fubo, along with Fox Weather (web and app), Fox Nation, FTS, and Fox News Digital.
“Last year was just a roller coaster of one exciting event to another,” he said. “Whether it's actual weather events or whether our growth and these things are related to each other.
“We were covering all these big stories, and we were growing and getting additional distribution,” he added.
