Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said this week that he talks to Joe Biden all the time and that his mind is fine, and continued to suggest that questions about Biden's mental health are just right-wing propaganda.
These are imaginary words from Schumer. Recent polls indicate that the vast majority of the American people have questions about Biden's mental state, and Hoare's report only confirms that.
The fact that Schumer feels he has to address this issue is abundantly clear.
Hill reports:
Schumer: Biden's mental acuity is “great”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D.N.Y.) told reporters Tuesday morning that President Biden's mental acuity is “great,” responding to concerns raised by a special counsel report that said the president has a “poor memory.”
“I speak with President Biden regularly. Usually several times a week. “His mental acuity is amazing, he's as good as he's been over the years,” Schumer said in response to a question.
“I've talked to him for 30 years since we worked on the Brady Bill, the assault weapons ban, when I was a young congressman,” Schumer said.
“He's fine. All this right-wing propaganda saying his mental acuity has declined is wrong,” Schumer said.
Senate Democrats have not discussed Biden's age or memory as a political issue at any of their party lunches, but some Democrats are particularly concerned about polls showing that many voters believe Biden is too old for the job.

Here's a reality check for Schumer. 86% of Americans now believe Biden is too old to be president.
New polls show that 86% of the public now views Biden as too old to serve as president. https://t.co/iygjgevO8b
By comparison, only 82% of the public agree that the Earth is round. https://t.co/PGA6NoxowU– Jonathan Turley (@JonathanTurley) February 12, 2024
This will get worse. Biden will not get better with age.
