For some reason, Nikki Haley is still in the Republican presidential primary despite losing overwhelmingly to Donald Trump in every election so far — and in the next one, if we believe the polls.
However, her latest campaign tactic appears to blame the decline in US military recruiting on…

Haley says Trump is to blame for declining military recruitment numbers
On Monday, CNN's Jake Tapper Haley spoke out about Trump's recent comment implying that Haley's husband, Michael Haley, had left her.
For your information, he was deployed overseas as a member of the US Army.
“Governor Healey, have you spoken to Major Healey?” Taber asked, standing next to Haley. “It must be annoying to be attacked like that when you're serving your country. And in the Horn of Africa. How does he deal with all this?”
The former South Carolina governor responded, “Well, I think the first thing is to know that he's always been with me in every election I've ever run. It's hard to do without him because he's like my right arm. So you feel like a part of you is missing.”
I continued:
They were offline, so I was able to catch him for a brief period of time. I saw the tweet. Like I saw the tweet. I didn't have a chance to talk to him when it happened. But I'll tell you. I mean, look, he's angry. I mean, he and his brothers and sisters, they don't go there just to laugh and laugh, they go there because they still believe in this amazing experience that is America.
They are willing to go and sacrifice their lives and their families because they still believe that America is worth fighting for. And when anyone makes fun of him or makes fun of him, it makes them all wonder, What's happening to America? This is a very sad situation. If you want to know why recruitment into the military is down, by 25%, it's because of comments like this. It's because of the way America treats our veterans.
By all indications, active military personnel and veterans seem to love Donald Trump. But Haley is right, there is a serious problem with the military draft, which has nothing to do with Donald Trump.
Kat Anderson, The Policy Insider's resident expert, has chronicled the military's troubles in this arena—with woke perpetrators with agendas, bizarre transgender recruits, endless losing wars, eligibility issues, and more.
All things that any Republican voter would now associate with the Nikki Haley establishment of the world, not her opposite in Donald Trump.
“It was a mistake,” Tapper told Haley. And I'm sorry, to all the military families and service members out there who are so selfless that a comment like that would be made.
Haley issued a short announcement on Monday in which she revived what most people consider a false narrative, calling soldiers who died overseas “losers” and “suckers.”
For his part, Trump did not take the bait, but rather chose to swing for the fences:
Donald Trump still has a wide lead over Nikki Haley in every poll, and most observers expect him to be the eventual Republican nominee for president.
