Hauser & Wirth will present the first solo exhibition in the United States dedicated to Verena Loewensberg, a prominent Swiss artist and a leading figure in the influential Zurich School of Concrete Artists. The exhibition is titled Kind of blue It will run from February 21 through April 27 at Hauser & Wirth New York, 69th Street.

The exhibition will be curated by Henriette Coray Loensberg, President of the Verena Loensberg Foundation. Furthermore, he will be supported by Lionel Bouvier, Vice President of the Foundation and Director of MAMCO in Geneva.

Kind of blue It will contain paintings spanning four decades of Loewensberg's career and include the only sculptural work Loewensberg has ever created.

Loewensberg's art was influenced by concrete artists such as Max Bell. However, Lowensberg herself stated that “Bill was not a teacher to me, he was a challenge I had to face. It was as if I were a bird that had to learn to fly for itself.”
