A young girl living in Rafah told Sky News that an Israeli ground attack on her city could be a modern-day massacre.
Diana Bukhari showed Sky News a tour around a small area of the school where she lives with her family, along with several others.
Her space — which she shares with five other members of her family — contains a bed made of a few blankets and pillows, and some shelves.

Pre-packed bags were kept on hand in case the area was attacked.
“There is no electricity, no food, no clean water,” she said. “You have to stand in line for hours to shower or use the toilet.”
She explained that people inside the shelter expected this to happen Israeli A ground attack soon, something Israel has indicated is likely to happen.
The Israeli army said that Rafah is home to the last remaining Palestinians agitation His stronghold is in Gaza.
Benjamin Netanyahu said sending ground troops to Rafah was necessary to achieve its war aims, but Lord Cameron, the foreign secretary, called on Israel to “pause and think seriously” before taking any further action.
In the United States, President Biden also warned Israel against launching a military operation in the Gaza border town without a “credible and implementable plan to protect civilians.”

Diana said: “We expect the Israeli forces to arrive in Rafah very soon, and the people here are feeling very depressed.”
“People say it's going to be the next modern-century massacre, or they're going to take us to Egypt. People don't want to go to Egypt.
“The sounds of bombing do not stop and are getting closer every day.”

In a message to governments around the world, she warned that a massacre was “near” and urged them to do something to help.
“To all the liberals, what else do you want to see to stop this? Do you want to see Israeli tanks trample on our bodies?” she asked.
“If the world wanted to stop this, it would.”
