Gixxer Brah, also known as Rendon Dietzmann, was arrested in Denton County, Texas, on February 7 after he reportedly recorded himself driving from Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes in September 2023. The 20-year-old resident was arrested 32 years in Texas Charges of menacing, participating in a speeding contest, reckless endangerment, speeding 40 or more over the posted limit, participating in a speed show, and driving without a license plate.According to the Denver Gazette.
This comes after a YouTuber posted a video in September 2023 titled From Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes, where he was reportedly seen driving at a high speed that allegedly exceeded 150 mph, according to CBS News. The video was quickly deleted and the Colorado State Patrol investigated the incident, the New York Post reported.
YouTuber Gixxer Brah, who has been currently detained in the Denton County Jail since Wednesday, faces the possibility of being returned to Colorado for his first court appearance. The delivery process is actively underway, according to the Denver Gazette.
Gixxer Brah faces several charges for riding a high-speed motorcycle
Rendon Dietzmann, known as Gixxer Brah on YouTube, has more than 258,000 subscribers and nearly 500 videos. He is known for sharing high-speed motorcycle rides on highways across the country as he weaves his way through tight gaps in traffic.
He is currently facing several charges after his arrest in Denton County, Texas. The prosecutor's statement revealed that Dietzman was arrested on an extraditable warrant for a range of crimes, including menacing, participating in a speeding contest, reckless endangerment, speeding 40 or more over the limit, participating in a speed fair, and driving without a traffic light. The license plate, according to Fox News.
Troy Kessler of the Colorado State Patrol spoke to KKTV and said:
“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado. We care too much about those who travel our roadways to ignore blatant disregard for the safety of others.”
Online arrest records from the Denton County Sheriff's Office indicate an additional assault charge, which was not included in the original warrant for Gixxer Brah's high-speed motorcycle ride on September 28, 2023. According to the Denver Post, Denton County Jail records show he was arrested for Assault.
That trip, documented in a now-deleted YouTube video, showed Dietzmann traveling from Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes, at speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour. The flight between the two cities usually takes one hour, according to CBS News.
The Colorado State Patrol shared a statement, according to CBS, and said:
“With the intent of bragging about his excessive speeding from Colorado Springs to Denver, this cyclist recorded and posted his ride between these two cities online, including his speed and complete disregard for his own safety and the safety of those around him. Multiple drivers and online viewers contacted the Colorado State Patrol in regards to the incident.”
The warrant for Dietzman's arrest is related to a joint investigation conducted by various agencies including the Dallas Police Department, Colorado State Patrol, and the El Paso County District Attorney's Office in Colorado, the Denver Gazette reported.
A date has not yet been set for Gixxer Brah's first court appearance in El Paso County, with extradition set to determine the timeline for the proceedings.
