Last week, Joe Biden's special adviser questioned his mental health — he is “an elderly man with a weak memory” — a story that raised questions about his ability as president seeking a second term.
On Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called Biden “sharp.”

sharp?
“The hardest part about meeting with President Biden is preparing for it because he is sharp, intensely meticulous, detail-oriented and focused,” Mayorkas told Meet the Press.
The Homeland Security secretary was asked if he or any other members of the Biden administration had considered invoking the 25th Amendment, the process by which the Cabinet would begin working to remove and replace the president, and Mayorkas replied: “Not at all.”
“I'm not involved in politics,” Mayorkas said. “I am responsible for governing and following the president's agenda, which I do rigorously.”
“Mayorkas's response was consistent with those of the White House and the president this week, as Democrats criticized special counsel Robert Hoare over comments in his report, which included concerns that the president might present himself to a jury as an 'old man with…'” NBC News reported. Weak memory.”
“The president himself told reporters at the White House on Thursday evening,” the story noted. “How the hell dare he bring that up?” In response to allegations in the report that Biden did not remember when his son died.

Like it or not, Biden's mental health is a real problem that is not going away
The president can feign outrage all he wants about specific indicators of his alleged deteriorating mental health, such as forgetting when his son Beau died, but the evidence is piling up for an American public that has already doubted his mental abilities for years.
No one is surprised that an 81-year-old man would have problems with his memory. But maybe this guy should retire and not try to become president of the United States.
Last week's story about his mental health led to speculation about whether he will be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2024.
It's a good question. One that hasn't really been answered yet.
