Candy Muse was at a gay club on Friday when the unfortunate incident happened. While speaking to the publication, the actress indicated that she was trying to push the man away and asked him to stop several times.
“After I pushed his arm off my pants, he finally got upset and grabbed both my arms and scraped his nails into my skin and was trying to fight me.”
the RuPaul's Drag Race The Season 13 contestant noted that while she felt better the next morning, the attack made her feel “a little crazy” and she thought she was overreacting. However, she later realized that she was feeling what many people feel when they are “afraid to speak up.”

On Saturday, February 10, the day after the attack, he rose RuPaul's Drag Race The Season 13 contestant took to social media to share her experience. She tweeted that she would not initially post about the assault but wanted others to be safe.
“Last night at the club, I was assaulted by a man who was touching me and clinging to the back of my pants and would not let go of me even though I asked him to let me go several times.”
The drag queen added that the perpetrator was upset because she wanted nothing to do with him and proceeded to attack her. She also assured her followers that she was fine but was “a little shaky” the night before.
The cast member later spoke to Out Magazine about the sexual assault and went into detail about the attack. She added that it was around 3am and she was dancing with someone she had just met.
She pointed out that he was much older than her. Kandi Muse added that he was “visibly drunk” and that he came up behind her and started touching her.

The man became enraged when the drag queen denied his advances and “physically grabbed” both of her arms and “squeezed his fucking nails” into her arms.
“So, like, he scratched me. He was like that.” [also] Trying to hit me. Fortunately, at that point, someone had already called security because they thought things were escalating.”
the RuPaul's Drag Race The cast member wanted to highlight the importance of consent through her experiences. She noted that it is “crazy” to think that one can have a good time outside when suddenly someone finds “the freedom to try to touch you because they want to.”
“No! I believe in consent, bitch.”
The drag performer noted that she was a “five-foot-eleven, 250-pound man” and that if it could happen to her, it could happen to anyone.
“It doesn't matter how flirtatious and friendly I am. It doesn't matter how dressed up I am at the club. It doesn't give anyone the green light to touch me.”
