While the price of Ethereum fell below the $2,500 level and recorded a significant decline. Meanwhile, other altcoins such as XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA) saw significant losses due to the downtrend.

Bitcoin price continued to exceed $48,000 today. Bitcoin price is down 0.55% to $48,128.66 at the time of writing on Monday, February 12. On the other hand, trading volume increased by 8.46% to reach $19.53 billion during the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency's market capitalization reached $944.54 billion
Looking at altcoins, Ethereum price is down 1.09% to $2,498.56 at press time with a market valuation of $1.86 billion. While ETH recorded a 24.37% increase in its trade volume, reaching $7.10 billion. Furthermore, the price of Binance Coin (BNB) decreased by 1.30% in value to USD 31.9.95, while 24-hour trading volume decreased by 1.69% to USD 720.04 million.
Solana price continued above the $100 level today. Solana's price fell 3.46%, to $105.83. Furthermore, SOL saw a 5.19% decline in trade volume to $1.53 billion over the past 24 hours. Moreover, the price of XRP recorded a decline of 0.88%, settling at $0.5226. Conversely, XRP trading volume rose by 24.48% to $752.68 million.
Meanwhile, Cardano price saw a 4.44% decline to $0.5381 today. Moreover, it recorded an 8.28% decline in 24-hour trading volume to settle at $437.28 million. In the meme space, Dogecoin's price fell by 2.01% to $0.08044 while its competitor, Shiba Inu, recorded a 1.43% drop in value and was traded at $0.000009327.
