Medical intervention is shown to help women save pregnancy
America's lucrative abortion industry has developed a chemist-based abortion process for do-it-yourself abortions, and although there are documented risks to women, the industry makes money.
So anything that undermines the messages used to promote the procedure is in the crosshairs of abortion advocates and officials.
In particular, information about the reversal process often allows women who started the procedure by taking the first pill to save their children by taking progesterone.
That's a problem for California Attorney General Rob Bonta.
He is suing several organizations that provide information about this abortion pill reversal process.
They are asking the California Supreme Court to dismiss the case.
Bonta sued Heartbeat International and RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics over their advocacy of “abortion pill reversal,” the medical intervention offered to women who decide to reverse ongoing chemical abortions,” according to Thomas More Society officials.
According to the legal team, “Heartbeat International, an international network of thousands of pregnancy centers, provides referrals to medical providers for women seeking reversal of chemical abortions through its Abortion Pill Rescue® Network, which is the target of Bonta’s lawsuit .Along with RealOptions Pregnancy Centers in California, which offers abortion pill reversal services.
“Women who undergo chemical abortions deserve the truth: Even after initiating a chemical abortion, they may still be able to save their babies,” said attorney Peter Breen, chair of the Thomas More Society's litigation department.
“California and its Attorney General Rob Bonta are illegally and unconstitutionally seeking to take 'choice' away from women who need it most by attacking pregnancy assistance ministries like Heartbeat and RealOptions, to stop their promotion of abolishing the abortion pill. Abolishing the abortion pill provides real hope for women who want To stop abortions and continue their pregnancies.
“California should care more about helping women who desperately want to continue their pregnancies,” added Heartbeat International President Jor L. Godsey. Targeting women's opportunity to reverse abortion is a clear act of abusing the good faith of taxpayer funding to support major abortion.
Bonta was in court seeking an injunction against the pro-life information.
“Despite overwhelming evidence of the safety and effectiveness of abortion pill reversal services, this lawsuit makes outrageously false allegations against Heartbeat International and RealOptions,” said Paul Jonah, the attorney in the case.
“Attorney General Bonta's lawsuit seeks to hide life-saving information from women regarding the repeal of the abortion pill. This is a desperate attempt by Bonta to eliminate any competition with the well-funded abortion lobby with which he has proudly partnered throughout his political career.
Among the issues to be resolved is the issue of freedom of expression, which is that people have a constitutional right to share their opinions and information. But California in the past has simply ignored this freedom, previously ruling that counselors could ask children to transition to LGBT lifestyles, but were prohibited from advising them on how to live their lives according to the sex they were born into.
