Scattered showers are possible again in parts of the day on Sunday. The chance of rain reaches about 50% on Sunday during daylight hours. High temperatures approach 70 degrees. The Pensacola Beach Mardi Gras Parade begins at 2:00 p.m. Some rain is likely to fall, but general activity will be light. Head there! The greatest rain chances move late Sunday night into early Monday morning. Thunderstorms and even strong thunderstorms are possible late Sunday – early Monday morning. We are under a level 2 out of 5 “slight” risk of severe weather during that time period. Some storms Sunday night could produce damaging wind gusts, even a tornado or two. Heavy rain, thunder and lightning are expected. The best chance for storms in Northwest Florida is to move in after midnight and last until 7-8 a.m. Monday morning. Stay tuned for time changes!
Cool air and breezy conditions move through the area Monday as a cold front dries out in the area. It will be dry and sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Highs will fall in the lower 60s, and lows in the 40s.
