He said that the association also presented Chinese culture such as display booths such as Chinese calligraphy writing, culture, traditional games, competitions and games during its open house.
“It's very unique because open houses are usually for dinner parties but that connection makes their open house so much fun when it's full of different activities.
“What is most interesting is that this open house is attended not only by their members, but by other ethnicities such as Chinese, Iban and so on. I understand that they also invite residents who live nearby,” he told reporters at the open house at the Red Crescent headquarters. The hall is here today.
This open house initiative is also a platform for the Chinese community to introduce its culture and heritage to other races, Cheng said.
“This is their main element – introducing culture to visitors who come not only to eat, but to introduce other races to the culture of the Chinese community.
“Indirectly, visitors who come can learn and know the culture of Chinese society. What is important is to promote friendship between multi-ethnic communities,” he said. – Borneo Post
