Earlier this week, journalist James O'Keefe of the O'Keefe Media Group visited the Ramada Inn by Wyndham, which has been converted into a migrant housing facility said to be run by the Casa Alitas program in Tucson, Arizona.

According to O'Keefe, buses were arriving with new migrants every 15 minutes, including during “questioning” conducted by a Pima County sheriff's deputy. During the interaction, O'Keefe revealed that he had an “undercover” inside the facility. O'Keefe reported that there is a temporary room in the hotel containing more than 150 children's beds (photo).

BREAKING: O'Keefe Media Group infiltrates SECRET's converted illegal immigrant complex, CASA ALITAS Ramada Hotel in Tucson.

This covert operation is funded by Tucson Catholic Community Services and enriches groups like Las Palmas.

O'Keefe's report caught the attention of U.S. Representative Tom Tiffany (WI-7), a member of the House Judiciary and Natural Resources Committee, as well as Doug LaMalfa (CA-1), a member of the Natural Resources Committee.

During a trip to Arizona, Representatives Tiffany and LaMalfa decided to visit the same facility that O'Keefe had previously documented. Upon his arrival, Representative Tiffany introduced himself as a congressman on the Natural Resources Committee to someone who worked at the hotel. Rep. Tiffany said he wanted to “stop and look at how this place works because we realize you have a lot of immigrants coming here,” but was denied entry because “unfortunately, we're not allowed to let them in.” Anyone who is not…employees or employees [in]”.

after @JamesOKeefeIII After I revealed that the Casa Alitas Ramada hotel in Tucson was harboring illegal immigrants, I stopped to see how American taxpayer money was being spent.

These NGOs that help illegal immigrants receive federal dollars, and Congress has a duty to provide oversight.

Representative Tiffany said that this facility was using federal funding, which is overseen by the US Congress, and that he would like to speak with a director. The employee did not even allow members of Congress into the office.

Then a woman appears wearing a hoodie and a surgical mask. When the congressmen introduce themselves, the woman says, “No cameras, please,” and tells someone to “call the mayor!” Call 911! Because they are on private property.”

Deputy Tiffany told the woman they were not trespassing. After being told they were trespassing, they identified themselves again as members of Congress.

“No, we're here as members of Congress, and there's federal money going into this process. So we have oversight. And we just want to come in and see what your process looks like.

They had the audacity to deny access to a member of Congress!?

Rep. Tiffany told the woman they would call for public hearings “because it seems like there are other operations like this and people really need to know where their dollars are being spent.”

While Rep. LaMalfa was talking about the ability to issue subpoenas, the woman turned away from the two congressmen.

The organization running this facility has been reported as Casa Alitas, a program of Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona. Their website claims they are a “humanitarian aid project committed to helping asylum seekers.”

The Natural Resources Committee of the House of Representatives, headed by Representative Dr. Bruce Westerman (AR-4). The committee includes 45 members, Representative Dr. Rep. Paul Gosar (AZ-9); Alexandria Proper-Cortez (NY-14), Rep. Ruben Gallego (AZ-3).
