CNN fact-checker Danielle Dell likes to fact-check every little detail Trump says, but he rarely goes after Biden. So far.
Apparently, Biden's speech was a bridge too far for CNN and Dell, because they fact-checked the claims he made and the analysis was so brutal.
Deal went after Biden over his multiple claims about documents stored at his home.
Mediaite has the details:
'Not true': CNN facts checks three false claims made by Biden about special counsel report
CNN's Danielle Deal responded to three false claims made by President Joe Biden at his Thursday press conference to address special counsel Robert Hoare's report on Biden's mishandling of classified materials.
In an appearance on CNN News Central on Friday morning, Deal first addressed Biden's claim that “all the stuff that was in my house was in file cabinets that were either locked or lockable.”
“That's not true, John,” Dale told host John Berman. “This report from the special counsel includes photographs. These photographs include footage of a box that was just located in President Biden's garage in Delaware. The special counsel described it as a heavily damaged box in the middle of household detritus. So there were some materials that were in the cabinets, locked or lockable,” the president said. But certainly not all of it. This damaged, open and unsealed box contained, according to the private investigator, highly sensitive top-secret materials about the war in Afghanistan.
He then addressed Biden's insistence that none of this material was “top secret.”
“This claim that he didn't have any material that was quoted, unquoted or 'highly rated' is also not true, John.
