Wintry weather returns to the Southern Plains this weekend. Forecast models show rain will turn to snow across the far southwestern Panhandle early Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

Possible for the southern-northern plains. Winds are northeasterly, 20-30 knots. More snow is likely late Sunday night and early Monday morning. Any moisture will freeze on the roads creating dangerous conditions for anyone driving overnight on Sunday
