Popular UFC color commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan put out a post on February 8 announcing that his podcast is already available on Apple Podcasts, and video episodes will be streamed live on YouTube in the coming days. While giving a shout out to Spotify for being “the coolest”, Rogan seemed very happy to reveal the news, noting that a wider audience will now have access to it.
The Joe Rogan Experience It is one of the most listened to podcasts in the world and has been exclusive to Spotify since it signed a deal in 2020. After about four years, episodes will be distributed to other platforms and the decision is sure to increase viewership.
Fans were pretty excited about the news as well, with most welcoming the return to YouTube and Apple. Echoing supporters, Tom Bilyeu said this in response to the post on X:

The Joe Rogan Experience It started in 2010 and has been on several websites since then, including the live streaming site justin.tv which would later be called Twitch. His viewership exploded in 2013 since he was regularly uploaded to YouTube with several videos amassing millions of viewers where fans watched guests interview Joe and who introduced scientists like Neil deGrasse Tyson to politicians like Bernie Sanders.
Despite being embroiled in numerous controversies over the years, Joe Rogan signed a massive $200 million deal to make it exclusive to Spotify, removing official uploads from YouTube and Apple Podcasts. The move caused a lot of backlash from fans. However, it has remained one of the top podcasts not only on Spotify but around the world.
Last week, it was announced that the UFC commentator had re-signed with the platform for $250 million, but this time the deal was not exclusive. This means that the content will be available on other platforms as well. As of February 8, it is available on Apple, and according to Rogan, YouTube videos will soon follow.
In a post on X that went viral, Joe Rogan praised Spotify for being smart with its partnership:
“The podcast is now officially back on @apple, and we should be back on @youtube with full episodes in the coming weeks. My thanks to @spotify for being the coolest, smartest people I've ever had the pleasure of partnering with. I'm so excited that the podcast will now have a much wider distribution. “
The move has greatly pleased his fans, but it seems some want to upload the podcast to X as well. Below are some public reactions to his post.
It's unclear whether Joe Rogan will upload his videos to X, but Elon Musk has been urging major content creators to do so for a few months. Popular YouTuber MrBeast has already started experimenting with it, uploading two videos to the social media platform.
