Tilak Prasad Dithal, CFO of MeroSiksha, an innovative digital learning platform, has been honored with Nepal's prestigious Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Accompanying Dhital in this honor was Naveen Timilsina, founder and CEO of Master Sab, who took second place. Additionally, Arjun Ghimire, founder of Dlupload and co-founder of College Tiffin, was named first runner-up. Dhital got Rs 200,000, Timilsina got Rs 50,000 and Ghimire got Rs 25,000.
The national winners will advance to India to participate in the regional finals, giving them the opportunity to compete for representation at the global level. Tarun Pratap Shah, Chairman of GSEA 2023-24 and Managing Director of DV Group of Companies, expressed his enthusiasm for their participation, highlighting the possibility of the final winner receiving a cash prize of $50,000 in the final competition.
The awards ceremony, which was held in the capital, brought together distinguished figures and aspiring entrepreneurs. The distinguished jury included Aayush Nepal, an accomplished entrepreneur and current President of Entrepreneurs' Organisation, and Yazma Rajbhandari, CEO and Principal Architect at Kalap Architects Pvt. Ltd, and Moushumi Shrestha, Honorary Consul General of Sweden to Nepal and CEO of Shreenagar Agro Group.
The event witnessed the participation of 14 student entrepreneurs from all over Nepal, with the top six finalists emerging after a rigorous selection process. These finalists represent the future of business in Nepal and include Anjana Malla, Co-Founder and CEO of Deego Nepal; Tilak Prasad Dethal, CFO, MeroSiksha; Bralesha Adhikari, Founder, Towerganics Nepal; Bibik Dhakal, co-founder and CEO of College Tiffin; Naveen Timilsina, Founder and CEO of MasterSAP; and Arjun Ghimire, founder of Dlupload and co-founder of College Tiffin.
