YADKIN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA (LOOTPRESS) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning to commemorate the start of construction on Yadkin County's newest government building.
The property, located off East Elm Street in Yadkinville across from the courthouse, will become the new location of the Yadkin County Tax Office, License Plate Agency and Information Technology. The new addition will allow citizens to visit the tax office and license plate agency without visiting the courthouse while remaining close to other offices, such as the Register of Deeds.
The new building will also house Yadkin County information and technology. It will create a dedicated space for this purpose to allow employees to continue providing information technology, cybersecurity and geographic information systems services to employees and citizens.
The new construction is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2025.
