Two people were killed in Kiev after Russia launched a ferocious barrage of missiles and drones in attacks across Ukraine.
Ukrainian Army Commander Valery Zaluzny said that Russian forces launched 64 missiles and drones in several waves of attack on Wednesday morning.
Zalozny added that Ukrainian air defenses shot down 29 missiles and 15 drones.

In Kiev, flames and smoke were seen rising from a residential tower, while firefighting teams worked to combat the fire.
“I felt afraid when the weather alerts were announced and we rushed here,” said Tetyana (49 years old), hugging her two-year-old granddaughter and a small dog in a bomb shelter in central Kiev.
She added: “I hope they shoot them all down. I pray to God for our air defense.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that six regions were attacked by the enemy.
“In Kiev, more than ten people have been infected, and so far two deaths have been identified,” he said on Telegram.
“There may be people under the rubble.”
President Zelensky also pledged that “terrorists will always feel the consequences of their actions” and praised medical and rescue workers.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that electricity was cut off in parts of Kiev after the attack after a Russian missile damaged power lines.
President Zelenskyy and Mr. Zalozny's comments come amid reports of a rift between them.
