President Joe Biden has come under fire after he bragged about wearing a pro-Ukraine outfit while debating a $118 billion Senate bill that primarily benefits Ukraine.
Biden made the comments during a speech urging Congress to pass the bill on Tuesday. The president presented the bill as a border security effort, when in reality it represents massive funding for foreign countries.
Midway through his speech, Biden praised legislation providing “urgent funding for Ukraine.”
The bill includes $60.06 billion in additional aid to Ukraine, a large portion of which comes in the form of weapons and military equipment.
“I'm wearing the Ukraine tie and the Ukraine pin that I used to wear because they're in dire straits now defending themselves against the Russian attack,” Biden said.
Biden: “I'm wearing a Ukraine tie, a Ukraine pin, which I was wearing because they're in dire straits now.”

Biden mocked Ukraine tie, pin
I'm not sure about our readers, but I'm old enough to remember when the passage of funding to Ukraine was necessary because they were on the cusp of victory due to their counterattack against Russia.
In fact, any suggestion that Russia might be at the head of the war effort was described in the media as “Putin's talking points.”
Biden himself said about six months ago that “there is no possibility of (Russian President Vladimir Putin) winning the war in Ukraine. “He has already lost that war.”
Now, they are in “dire straits,” and it is not as if the United States has turned off the tap on taxpayer money. So where is all this headed?
This could be the problem:
Right-leaning figures on social media have criticized President Biden for his apparent appeasement of Ukraine.
“Who is Biden really working for?” Ian Miles Cheung asked. “What about the onslaught of illegal immigrants at the border?”
Funny you should ask. This bill provides an enormous amount of money to foreign countries – more than $78 billion – instead of to US borders – $20 billion.
Of the $20 billion, how much do you think will be used to actually secure the border rather than facilitating more illegal immigration or providing a path to amnesty?
“In case you needed any more proof that Joe Biden and our lawmakers care more about Ukraine than they do about the United States,” Trump attorney Laura Loomer wrote of the tie/pin combination.
“Biden is wearing the Ukraine tie he got for being Employee of the Month in 2015,” conservative radio host Rich Zeoli quipped.

He wore his pro-Ukraine mini uniform in Kyiv
This is not the first time President Biden has worn his Ukrainian tie. He wore that nation's colors during a surprise visit to Kiev almost a year ago.
The Washington Post described the scene.
A video later showed the president wearing a dark suit, an apparent reference to the Ukrainian flag, and a blue-and-yellow striped tie, sitting with (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelensky, who was wearing his usual military clothing.
Interestingly, the same report shows Biden declaring that Ukraine was on its way to victory in the war against Russia.
When Putin launched his invasion nearly a year ago, he believed Ukraine was weak and the West divided. “He thought he could outlast us,” Biden said in a statement after arriving for the meeting. “But he was completely wrong.”
Now it's like, “They need another $60 billion, or Putin will outlast us.”
Fox Business host Charles Payne ripped Biden's Ukraine visit, yellow and blue tie and all, as “phony” because air raid sirens sounded while the two world leaders showed little interest.
“The only thing I didn’t like about President Biden’s visit was the air raid sirens going off,” Payne said. “That was the most phony bullshit.”
As phony as the aid package for Ukraine and Israel that is presented as a “border security” bill.
