Recently, New York City Mayor Eric Adams made racially charged comments about diversity in his administration, comparing himself to Jesus for his “chocolate” leadership.
Actually, this isn't a comment on diversity when you celebrate your team as “chocolate.” It's racist.
“Look at this team, people. Look at this team. Look at me, look at the vice mayors,” he told attendees at a community conversation forum he hosted last week.
“Senior Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, Deputy Mayor…whoa, whoa. “They need to see you,” he smiled. “Deputy Mayor Williams Isom, Deputy Mayor Mira Joshi, Deputy Mayor Almanzar, Deputy Mayor Maria Torres Springer.”
“Have you ever seen this much chocolate driving through New York City?” he added.

Eric Adams compares himself to Jesus by “diversifying” his management
Mayor Adams went on to explain that he believes a diverse leadership team is essential to creating a more inclusive and equitable city.
But the truth is Exclusively Bragging about the “chocolate” factor means he's not interested in variety. Was he bragging about anyone in his department who might add a little “vanilla” to the scene?
If it wasn't bad enough that Adams made a blatantly racist comment – can you imagine a reporter disdainfully commenting on how “chocolate” a New York City official is acting? They will be expelled. Immediately. Really. – But then he compared himself to Jesus as he overturned the tables in the temple of God.
“And Jesus was walking in the temple and saw them sinning in the temple. What did he do?” Adams asked the audience.
One member replied: “He turned the tables.”
“I went to City Hall to turn the tables,” Adams continued. The first female police commissioner of color. The first Spanish-speaking police commissioner. The first Spanish-speaking commissioner of corrections.
“Go through the line of what we're doing. In two years! That's right, because that's what we do when you're from Brownsville.”
Mayor Adams then falsely claimed that diversifying his administration was the reason for his lack of popularity – a recent poll showed him with a dismal 28% approval rating.
“This is a representative of the city. This is why people hate me. Are you trying to figure out why they hate me? They hate me because these…” Adams said before shifting into Jesus Christ pose.

He says the city is being destroyed
It's certainly an interesting tactic to celebrate how “chocolate” your administration is, as opposed to its merit and accomplishments, just a few months after admitting that your sanctuary city policies are “ruining” New York City.
“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. I've never had a problem in my life that I didn't see an end to. I don't see an end to this,” Adams said in September. This case will devastate New York City. Destroying New York City.”
Hey, maybe if you didn't focus on being the city's DEI mayor and instead developed a plan to deal with the problem, your city wouldn't be in such dire straits.

Adams' Chocolatier department is currently overseeing a new $53 million program to provide prepaid debit cards to undocumented immigrants, allowing them to spend money at local bar counters.
He said the same illegal aliens would “destroy” the city.
New York City also saw a pack of destructive animals assault two police officers and they were immediately released without bail, allowing them to flee to another left-wing state in California.
Maybe that's why they hate you, Mr. Adams. Because you are destroying the city and your first priority is the skin color of the people around you.
