Rapper Killer Mike was arrested at the 2024 Grammy Awards and escorted by Los Angeles police on Sunday, shortly after taking home three awards.
The musician, one half of the rap duo Run the Jewels, was seen surrounded by at least two Los Angeles Police officers walking into the Crypto.com Arena, in the videos subscriber By Chris Gardner of The Hollywood Reporter.
A man was arrested and handcuffed at the scene in Los Angeles shortly after 4 p.m. over an alleged physical altercation related to the awards show, an LAPD spokesperson confirmed to the Times. The spokesman also confirmed that the man is in police custody for questioning.
A representative for Killer Mike did not immediately respond to The Times' request for comment.
Before his arrest, Killer Mike (real name Michael Santiago Render) had received three Grammy Awards at the pre-show ceremony, including a rap album for his 2023 release “Michael.” He also had house rap performance and rap song wins, which He shared it with Andre 3000, Future and Erin Allen Kane.
“Thank God,” he said chirp Sunday after the first win of his career.
