Earlier today, we reported that New York City is preparing to give immigrant families $53 million in prepaid credit cards. Rapper 50 Cent has since responded by saying he might vote for Donald Trump.
“Maybe Trump is the answer.”
When the policy is implemented, the New York Post reported, “it will start with a group of 500 immigrant families in short-term stays at hotels and will replace the current food service provided there, according to the City Council.”
“The cards can only be used at grocery stores, supermarkets and convenience stores — and immigrants must sign a written acknowledgment that they will only spend the money on food and baby supplies or they will be kicked out of the program,” the report adds. .
This didn't sit well with 50 Cent, who took to Instagram to post a screenshot of this report.
“WTF Mayor Adams called my phone, I don’t understand how this works. Somebody explain,” 50 Cent wrote in a since-deleted post, according to Fox News. “I can’t explain this, I’m stuck, maybe Trump is the answer.”

Social media users respond
OK Magazine reported that fans were quick to criticize 50 Cent for suggesting he might vote for Trump.
“Trump is not funny. “He set black people back decades just with his Supreme Court picks,” one social media user commented, and another added: “How you millionaires hate people who get crumbs.”
A third user wrote: “Trump is never the answer,” while a fourth commented: “Trump is always the wrong answer.”
Another person said: “Trump doesn't care about black people, and the sooner people realize that the better.” “Unbridled Trump support because the economy is this way because of Trump,” one recent person wrote. 😂 S***Almost unfixable. In other news, I'm all for anyone getting some chicken, but.. I'm not sure how to solve the crisis we're in.

50 Cent previously considered voting for Trump in 2020, when he took to social media to attack Joe Biden's tax plan.
“What the f—! (Vote for Trump) I'm out. F- NEW YORK: 'The Knicks never win anyway,' he said at the time. 'I don't care, Trump doesn't like black people, 62% are you out of your mind.' “
But days later, 50 Cent withdrew its support for Trump.
The Daily Mail reported that 50 Cent previously asked why immigrants get free health care in California.
“I don't understand this,” he said last month. “This is going to cost taxpayers $2.6 billion.” “They don't even give health insurance to veterans. @arimelber call my phone now, help me figure this out. What nonsense.”
Last October, 50 Cent magazine criticized Biden for taking a trip to his beach house during the war between Israel and Hamas, saying: “[eye emoji] Joe, get up, we're in trouble, man!
KOMO reported that 50 Cent went on to say, “We've got some real stuff going on here Joe. What's the plan to get tanned and cool come on now.”
It seems that unlike most celebrities, 50 Cent isn't afraid to think for himself when it comes to politics. What do you think of his comments about Trump? Let us know in the comments section.
