JACKSONVILLE, FL – Action News Jax's First Weather Alert team said drier weather is on the way after Sunday's storm brought potential tornadoes to our area.
The National Weather Service is sending two survey crews today at approximately 8 a.m. to survey southwest Duval County and Clinch County, Georgia. These teams will officially determine whether tornadoes touched down in those areas.
Drier weather should start today, but isolated light rain is possible. Highs will be in the mid to mid 60s in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures should drop into the 40s.
Winds are expected to turn brisk Monday afternoon and evening, especially along the coast.

However, calmer weather is expected to return on land on Tuesday with gusty onshore winds keeping waves and rip currents high. These winds will come out of the northeast at a speed of between 20 and 25 miles per hour, with gusts of up to 30 and 40 miles per hour along the coast.
Highs on Tuesday are only expected to reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.
