As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump joined Maria Bartiromo for an interview on Sunday Morning Futures earlier today.
The interview covered a variety of topics, including his concerns about a terrorist attack and changes at the Republican National Committee.
But the topic of most interest is Trump's vice presidential nominee. After Bartiromo's prodding, he touched on the criteria he looks for in a vice presidential candidate and teased a potential two-person shortlist. Notice how much he mentions how one candidate in particular is fighting for him.
Trump also revealed that it will take “some time” before he makes the official announcement. He also denied communicating with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Bartiromo: Mr. President, when will you announce who the vice president will be?
Trump: Not for a while. We have a lot of great people in the Republican Party.
Bartiromo: What criteria do you use to determine who is your running mate?
TRUMP: It's always got to be one thing: He's got to be the one who's going to be a good president… He's got to be number one.
Bartiromo: Who (will be) your running mate?
Trump: I have a lot of good people. We have a lot of really good people.

TRUMP: You know, I called Tim Scott, and I told him that you're a much better candidate for me than you are yourself.
When I watched Tim, he was fine, he was good, but he was very quiet… I watched him last week standing by me, fighting for me. I said: You are better for me than you are for yourself.
It was a real tiger. It was incredible.
Kristi Noem has been incredibly combative for me. “I will never run against him because I can’t beat him,” she said. That was a very nice thing to say.
Bartiromo: What is it about this story that your team reached out to RFK Jr. about?
Trump: That never happened. That was a false story.
Scott and Noem's name-dropping shouldn't come as a surprise, as they have long been speculated to be potential Trump running mates. What was interesting was the amount of time Trump spent praising Scott throughout the interview, especially Scott's strong defense of him.
Had Trump already made his decision?
