The Daily Mail reported:
President Joe Biden embraced his son Hunter after the men exited The Ivy restaurant in Beverly Hills, where they were celebrating Hunter's 54th birthday.
First Lady Jill Biden joined them at the restaurant but did not leave with them. Hunter's little son, Beau, 3, went out with his father and grandfather. President Biden leaned in to kiss his grandson.
The first couple were in town for campaign events and made an unscheduled stop at the popular celebrity lunch spot. On Saturday, the birthday of the late Beau Biden, Joe and Jill Biden visited his grave in Wilmington, Delaware, before leaving for the West Coast.
Hunter Biden is a free man lunching at celebrity hotspots after defying a congressional subpoena, while former Trump aide Dr. Peter Navarro was sentenced to 4 months in prison for doing the same.
Republicans in Congress had previously summoned Hunter Biden to provide a closed statement related to the exploitation of his influence and family corruption.
Hunter defied the subpoena and said he would only testify “at a public hearing,” so lawmakers held a hearing before voting to hold him in contempt of court.
Last month, Hunter made a surprise appearance on Capitol Hill, where lawmakers held a hearing before voting on whether to hold the first son in contempt of court. Later that day, Republicans voted in favor of the contempt of court resolution.
