Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) escalated his border fight with the Biden regime on Saturday.
“Texas made history as the first and only state to build our own border wall,” Abbott said in a post on X. “Construction continues,” he added.
He added: “We will not retreat from our efforts to secure the borders.”

Last month, the US Supreme Court sided with the Biden regime and allowed Border Patrol agents to remove the barbed wire installed on the border between Texas and Mexico.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R) previously installed about 30 miles of razor wire on the Texas-Mexico border near Eagle Pass to stem the flow of illegal aliens being allowed in by the Biden administration.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton previously vowed to challenge the Supreme Court's ruling on razor wire on the southern border.
In addition to building a border wall, members of the Texas National Guard are also installing more razor wire.

Texas last month took control of Shelby Park and blocked federal agents from accessing the 47-acre city in Eagle Pass.
Abbott recently invoked Texas' constitutional authority to defend itself against Biden's lawless regime.

“The executive branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce the federal laws that protect the states, including the immigration laws currently on the books,” the statement read. “President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal laws mandating the detention of illegal immigrants. The Biden administration’s failure to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, Section 4, has triggered Article I, Section 10, Section 3, which reserves to this nation the right of self-defense. “For these reasons, I have already declared invasion under Article I, Section 10, Section 3 to invoke the constitutional authority of the State of Texas to defend and protect itself. This authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal laws to the contrary.”
