Former Obama adviser and CNN contributor Van Jones recently commented that young voters' description of Joe Biden as having a “genocidal atmosphere” is a major problem facing his re-election.
Jones points to young leftists organizing crazy pro-Hamas protests in New York City and on college campuses. At some point in recent years, contempt for Israel became a progressive creed.
All of this puts Biden in an almost impossible position, as most Americans support Israel, but the far-left base of the Democratic Party wants Biden to side with Hamas.
Van Goose is not often right, but he is right on this point. This is a problem for Biden.
Fox News reports:
Former Obama adviser says Biden faces 'big problem' as young voters call 'genocidal atmosphere' amid Gaza war
Van Jones, a former Obama administration official, warned Thursday that Biden has “a tough job ahead of him” as he tries to regain the trust of young, Arab and Muslim voters who object to his support for Israel amid the war in Gaza.
Thursday night's episode of Erin Burnett OutFront on CNN focused largely on Biden's attempts to regain the trust of Arab-American voters by visiting Michigan in person. It featured students who will be voting for the first time, in addition to a former field organizer for the Biden campaign who said he would not vote for the president again, considering him complicit in the killing of Palestinians.
Burnett turned to Jones and asked him about the former campaign staffer who turned on Biden over his Gaza foreign policy. Burnett recalled how he told a CNN correspondent in Michigan that “he would not vote for Biden again even though he knew it might help Trump.” He says Biden is “not someone I can trust.” How big a problem does Biden face now, Fan?
“It's a big problem for him now,” Jones replied. “There are four clips directed at him. ‘Genocide Joe.’ This has become something we hear from young people, younger voters in the Arab American community.
Here's the video. Stick with him after Fan's comments to hear GOP strategist David Urban talk about how minority and working-class voters are turning to Trump.

It says a lot about what the Democratic Party has become, that this is an issue for their young base.
