Bill Maher attacked Joe Biden during his show Friday night for claiming he needs additional force of any kind in order to secure the border.
Naturally, Maher took aim at Republicans as well, saying they want to run on this issue in 2024, but even if that were true, so what? It's a workable problem. No one is happy with what is happening at the border.
His point about Biden is quite clear. Biden can end the chaos now by simply enforcing existing immigration laws.
Fox News reports:
During a panel discussion Friday night, New Hampshire Republican Gov. Chris Sununu brought up immigration as a major election, telling Maher that Biden's weakness on the issue among voters is “very real.”
Maher said: “Republicans act as if they want to solve this problem, but the Democrats have exposed their bluff.” “I mean there's a bill now that a lot of them, like Mitch McConnell and some conservative senators are saying, this is the good deal you're going to get. They don't want it because they don't want to solve this issue because they need it as an issue so you can give speeches like “The ones you just threw out about the ‘working class’ and so on.”
Sununu added: “But make no mistake about this, Joe Biden has great power to change a lot of policies and influence the immigration issue.”
“That's right,” Maher agreed. “I was going to say the second part of the act is Joe Biden saying ‘You know what? “If you'll just give me a new law.” new law?! The president can fix this and he already has a law in place. This is all so ridiculous! “I need a piece of paper from Congress to deal with the border.” No, I already got that.”

Wow, even Bill Maher calls Biden's bluff on illegal immigration:

The disaster at the border is intentional. Biden and the Democrats don't want to fix it.
